Nancy M. Kelly, B.S., CPDT-KA holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University. She has become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed® (CPDT-KA) which means she has at least 300 hours of dog trainer experience and has received recommendations from a veterinarian, a client, and a colleague. In addition, she has passed an independent, psychometrically sound and science-based exam to demonstrate knowledge in Instruction Skills, Animal Husbandry, Ethology, Learning Theory, Equipment, Business Practices and Ethics. Nancy has over 25 years of experience in teaching people to work with their dogs and in training dogs for obedience, agility, conformation, service and hearing dog work, and for behaving as well-mannered pets. She has studied for over 200 hours with Bob Bailey, and many hours with Dr. Jesus Rosales, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Steve and Jen White, Sue Ailsby, Ken Ramirez, and many other prominent animal trainers, completing at least 30 hours of continuing education per year. Nancy spent 5 years working as a veterinary technician, simultaneously for an animal emergency clinic and a general care clinic. She gained broad experience in assisting the veterinarians she worked with in the care of dogs with injuries, illnesses, endocrine imbalances, surgery, orthopedic issues, and more.
